Prime Minister Edi Rama was at an electoral meeting with the citizens of Gramsh, from where he asked for votes for the May 11 parliamentary elections.
Referring to Albania's membership in the European Union as usual, Rama made a brief comparison of what the country was like before and after the socialist government, according to him.
He stated that in 12 years, the Socialist Party has done what no other party has done, since previously, according to him, half of the people were encouraged to steal, and everyone was mired in debt.
Then, the socialist leader focused on justice, saying that Altin Dumani and other SPAK prosecutors are working for equality before the law, and that with the country's entry into the European Union, justice reform, according to him, will not be undermined by the opposition, which he calls a "swamp."
"In 12 years we have done what no other party has done. When we took office, half of the people were encouraged to steal from the other half. And the entire people were drowning in debt."
That's why we are on the threshold of the EU. Today, equality before the law with Altin Dumani and some other prosecutors are trying to make it a reality, relying on the reform that we made, which is guaranteed only by this political force, with me at the top. And there is no need to bring evidence, because the swamp says that this justice must be overthrown. It says it will dissolve SPAK, the owl says, and what will you young people do here? Because Dritan and I only have our experience and that things will not go back. There is only one way that no Albanian elected by you in the years and decades to come will be shaken again, and will not turn their heads back. You brought Albania into the EU, no one dares to mess with the law. Because it is sacred to that house", said Rama.
Rama stated in his speech that the Socialist Party brought equality before the law with the justice reform, while adding that he is arrogant for not using the vote of Albanians to use justice to attack opponents.
The socialist leader also spoke about collaborators in his party who already have problems with justice.
"Today, look at what they think. They and the others who appear in the media, the media told them, in those media swamps and try to corrupt the Albanian people. First of all, you have seen once you thieves who not only accept, but also hand over all the codes of the house of justice. There is none. We do not have half of the government in prison, we have some who for about 12 years, the first, second, beginning of the third term have had roles and have encountered problems with justice and for this we must lower our heads. I am sorry from a human point of view, but from the point of view of the obligations I have towards you and towards every Albanian who voted for me, I am very arrogant because I did not get the vote to pretend that we are doing justice. I did not get the vote to use justice with his vote and that of those who are more than half of the Albanian people to hit the opponents and when it comes to our house which is being cleaned, renewed, rejuvenated by changing blood, but also through justice we pretend we don't understand.
"I am very proud because for the first time in the history of this country, equality before the law is not a slogan, but an effort. Equality is not for those who have nothing in their hands, but it is for those who have power. And if there is a reason why every Albanian should vote for the SP, it is precisely this reason why they say that the Socialist Party should not be voted for ," said Rama.
The head of government, among other things, added that prosecutors were previously 'disarmed' people.
"Altin Dumani and all the honest prosecutors and judges were 'disarmed' people because those who are behind us today, the swamp and who want to outdo us by telling the people tales that no one eats anymore, they were killing not many years ago. And they killed several times at different times, until they killed under the window of the Prime Minister's Office", said Rama.
