Trump's son-in-law's projects, Rama calls the Zvernec peninsula

Prime Minister Edi Rama, in an interview with the German magazine ZEITmagazin, gave important details on investment projects in the country, mentioning the island of Sazan, a strategic and historical territory that belongs to the Albanian state.

Rama said that negotiations for the development of Sazan are continuing with the concept of investment by Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of President Donald Trump, are quite promising. As for Kushner's investment in the Zvernec peninsula, Rama says that it is on private land.

ZEITmagazin: Jared Kushner, Trump's son-in-law, plans luxury investments in Albania. How are you doing?

Rama: The project has two parts: a private peninsula and the island of Sazan that belongs to the state. We are negotiating for Sazan and the concepts look promising.

ZEITmagazin: Is corruption widespread in your government?

Rama: There are individuals involved, but we have done deep justice reforms that have not happened since 1912. We are not a shield for anyone, but support for justice.

ZEITmagazin: Is corruption an obstacle to EU membership?

Rama: Our fight against it is our guarantee for integration, and the EU has appreciated this.

ZEITmagazin: How do you deal with personal attacks and accusations from the opposition?

Rama: They are lies that have harmed my family a lot. But I'm used to it.
