Democratic Party chairman Sali Berisha reacted today to the Ethics Commission's decision to condemn opposition MPs after the chaos caused Monday's plenary session.
In his speech to Democratic supporters, Berisha stated that the majority was terrified by the revolt of MPs and the October 7 protest.
According to the Prime Minister, this is a battle for the triumph of democracy, law and the Constitution.
Part of Barry's words:
Today the narchoregia like Venezuela's Maduro, terrified of the revolt of deputies, lamented by the coming October 7th took punishment measures and expelled for the first time in its 32-year history of pluralism, expelled 24 deputies from parliament, including expelling the chairman of the parliamentary group after imprisoning the deputy speaker, the Secretary General of the DP and 22 other deputies.
These members of the criminal organization of Edi Rama, these accomplices in crime, in theft and in the traffic with what they saw with their own eyes in the courtyard of parliament, they understood that this battle is a battle for life or death, it is a battle for the triumph of democracy, law and constitution.
They saw that hope for them is no more, that the popular revolt that is simmering on all four sides of the country will wipe them out and throw them in the trash can of history, where they have the place as the greatest perpetrators in the history of the Albanian nation.
They think that by emptying parliament they will escape from popular punishment, but they forget that today with the courage, the bravery of opposition parliamentarians, there are hundreds of thousands of Albanians ready to pour against them, ready to reward their hatred and revenge, ready to reserve the end they deserve.
