Ilir Proda has been appointed the new Director General of the State Police, by decision of the Council of Ministers.

Today, the new Director general of taxes has also been appointed. He is Ilir Binja.

Decisions adopted at the Meeting of the Council of Ministers, dated 2 October 2024:

V E N D I M FOR APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR GENERAL OF TAXES

In support of Article 100 of the Constitution and point 2, Article 17, of Law No. 9920, dated 19.5.2008, "On tax procedures in the Republic of Albania", amended, on the proposal of the Minister of Finance, the Council of Ministers

V E N D O S I:

1. Mr. Ilir Binaj is appointed General Director of Taxes.

2. The Ministry of Finance and the General Directorate of Taxes are charged to implement this decision.

This decision comes into effect immediately.

V E N D I M FOR APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR GENERAL OF STATE POLICE

In support of Article 100 of the Constitution and Articles 56, points 1 and 2, and 85, point 10, of Law no. 82/2024, "On the State Police", on the proposal of the Minister of Interior, Council of Ministers

V E N D O S I:

Mr. Ilir Proda is appointed General Director of the State Police and is awarded the rank of "Major Director".

This decision shall enter into force immediately and shall be published in the Official Journal.
