The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has commented on the legal initiative taken by the SP on the issue of suspensions, taking as a trigger the case of Belinda Balluku, describing this step as "the annihilation of the justice system".

"Edi Rama, to protect his monstrous crimes and untold thefts, is moving on to other actions, to the annihilation of the justice system, to the adoption of laws to protect himself and his looting gang in government ," Berisha said.

In a press conference, the DP leader stated that the amendments that the SP seeks to bring to the Assembly have only one purpose, "to protect the person of Edi Rama and the members of his criminal organization."

Berisha emphasized that the suspension does not mean the suspension of any function in the country, but rather means punishment in the name of the interests of citizens against high-ranking officials who use their power to steal.

"The suspension aims to protect the institutions, their legality and their functioning in accordance with the law," he said.
