Prime Minister Edi Rama has revealed that he has received an invitation from President Donald Trump to visit Washington.
Rama said he has accepted the invitation and will be in Washington this week for the official establishment of the Peace Board.
"The last note is related to international life, if I may call it that. This week I received an invitation from the President of the United States to visit Washington in the coming days for what I warned him about, when that bunch of homemade bombs, smashed and cracked even in the Assembly hall, with all sorts of claims that today are being made again ridiculous, saying that I can't go, that I haven't been invited, that, that, that...
And in fact, as I announced, I will be in Washington for the official establishment of the Peace Board and for the start of the activity of that board, where Albania has the privilege of being a founding state and where Albania will not contribute with money to join or to remain as a permanent member, but contributes with dignity and with what has made it internationally respected and invited, to this very high level of discussion on the future of peace", said Rama.
