Yesterday in a number of media were published reports on the employment in the MFA and the provision of security certificates to the sister of the penitent of justice Nuredin Dumani, Mrs. Xh. D.

Given the interest that this case has naturally aroused, but also the need to correct some inaccuracies in media reporting, we want to inform the public as follows:

Mrs. Xh.D, was selected to complete a 3-month internship at the MFA. (call VI, National Program of Work Practices, of the Ministry of Education, pursuant to DCM No. 395, dated 29.04.2015, "On the approval of the national program of work practices in state administration and other public institutions") changed.)

Name of Mrs. Xh.D has been part of the list that have applied for this program brought to the MFA by the Ministry of Education. After receiving the list, a commission is set up that selects students, based on the methodology set out in the relevant DCM and further, based on the budget and requirements of the relevant directorates of MFA, a certain number of students are selected, for whom contracts are concluded. work with a fixed term of 1 year. The names of the interns are suggested by the respective directorates where they have performed the internships.
So, Mrs. Xh.D has entered the MFA as part of a program, where the selection is based only on student results and aims to create spaces for the best students in public administration.

Mrs. Xh.D has completed the internship in August 2021 and at the end of the internship, due to the evaluation of her performance by the directorate, an employment contract was concluded with a predetermined term of 1 year until 31.12.2022, as a specialist in the Directorate of Services Interior, Services Sector. Mrs. Xh.D has not been employed at any time in the Cabinet of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. For the employment of Mrs. Xh.D is required by law, the evidence of the criminal from the relevant authorities which turned out to be clear.

In accordance with the law, as for any other employee of the MFA, also for Mrs. Xh.D has requested the security certificate from DSIK. This certificate is, after the proof of the penalty, another filter through which every employee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs passes.

We want to assure the public but also the interested media, that at no point did the lady in question have access to classified information, much less NATO classified information. Information classified in the MFA is handled by special rules and procedures and only a limited number of employees have access to it.
