Prime Minister, Speaker of the Parliament and then President of the Republic of Albania, today Ilir Meta has returned to political life.
At the SMI National Convention, he said that of the three high positions he has held, he felt better with the office of president and is looking forward to returning for a second term.
"In these 5 years I have been from a height where I could see everything and gained a perspective that I lacked before. I saw a danger that threatens the sovereignty of this country and the independence of Kosovo," said Meta.
He described the current situation as extremely critical and said that he requires an urgent intervention of all citizens who must take responsibility because they can no longer entrust their responsibilities to this political class.
In his speech at the LSI National Convention, Meta said that the former leader of the DP Lulzim Basha was part of the well-planned plan to burn the mandates and hand over the local government to Edi Rama.
"For Albania, there is a threatening danger. Regarding the independence of Kosovo, there is a great danger after independence with many sacrifices and a lot of blood. I have seen a plan prepared to execute democracy and pluralism to have a facade democracy. Everything has been done to kill referendums. They are a group of oligarchs who steal and rob everything, above ground and underground.
Burning the mandates, handing over the local government. The burning of mandates was well planned by the mafia that runs Albania. From the oligarchs who have been working with both sides for a long time. A person who lies even about the watch if you ask him. They don't just aim at robbery, but the undoing of the Albanian national identity. In five years there was a coup without tanks, but with procedures. They taught us that the members of the Constitutional Court can go to Lana to take the oath and the parliament says that this one was elected", Meta emphasized.
