Sazan Island is Albania's calling card in the tourism industry in the middle of the Mediterranean if we do the right thing.

Italy has 70% of the world heritage. You turn your eyes wherever you want, you have reasons to go for tourism. With Sazan, if we do the right thing, we put the business card there and say "We are Albania!" and raise the bar to a level that was unimaginable a few years ago"

Looking back, he remembers when no one dared and did not want to invest, he is proud of the "urban renaissance" project

"I wanted from the beginning, and we tried, that this work goes with contacts, with conversations, but I'm telling you one thing that in the first 5-6 years I could sit down with important people, investors and tell them to invest in tourism in Albania I understood that this does not happen. Albania must make them come, they can't come because I'm talking to them. All the engagement with the urban renaissance that these facades say, began to open eyes and cameras. Albania in 2013, tell me a place where it was possible to take pictures without avoiding any ugliness from the screen. Where there were settlements that you could take in photographs like today, which has become a house".

Today we are at the time when Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of former US President Donald Trump, proposes a project for the construction of luxury resorts in Sazan.

The Prime Minister called Rama a serious application.

"Today we are in the conditions that we have an application from Sazani. Let's see! It is obviously a serious application from an extremely popular group. That these are also strange... (Note: Refers to opponents of the project) "

Other offers in Sazan

It reveals that there were other offers but that the objective is clear.

"These investment processes are the ones that require time and negotiations. We had 3-4 requests. Many came to see, but when they showed us with presentations what they wanted to do, no. It's not this. We don't want to build something that can be found everywhere in Albania. We want it to be a destination where nature is the asset and the main reason. And the development should be of such high quality that it creates a tourism model that brings a lot of income and works as an attraction for tourism.

The investment proposal is in the discussion stage, but even if it is not accepted, it shows the good side of all this noise in the media.
