A few days before the local elections, the opposition has proposed various changes in the law of public servants, regarding engagement in political life.

The initiative that limits the right of expression on social networks has already been published in the parliament

"Civil servants or employees who perform a non-political function in the public administration are prohibited from publishing, reacting, distributing or commenting on posts with political content, made on social networks" - the draft states.

It is even further added that it is forbidden to force other employees or subordinates to publish, distribute or comment on posts with political content.

Further, taking into account the technological developments, the prohibition of the creation of telephone groups for party purposes is required.

"A civil servant or an employee who performs a non-political function in the public administration is prohibited from creating communication groups on electronic platforms, with the aim of publishing, reacting, distributing or commenting on posts with political content, made on social networks", the initiative states. reports OraNews.

But despite the fact that it has been submitted to the assembly, the proposal of the democrats will first have to go to the conference of presidents where the socialists have the majority as well as in the parliament.
