Tension in the plenary session between Finance Minister Petrit Malaj and the leader of the Opportunity Party, Agron Shehaj, who was expelled from the session.

In the interpellation requested by Shehaj for the forgiveness of the fine for Bankers Petroleum, the Minister of Finance appeared in Parliament asking Shehaj what connection the IDS company has with him, his wife, and his brother.

Malaj pulled out an A4 page with a list of what he said were Agron Shehaj's 17 companies, most of them outside Albania.

"Come on, show me how you spend the money you earn in Albania, outside Albania," said Malaj, "you're dealing with us, I'll deal with you."

Shehaj responded by saying that "all of Albania knows that IDS is my company. Hundreds of millions of euros have come from that company, salaries and taxes have been paid. I am not like you."

"My companies are public, you have them in my asset declaration. You're acting like you've discovered something," Shehaj added.

After another exchange of accusations, where Malaj waved the A4 sheet with the list of Shehaj's companies, the latter accused him of making these threats to him in the Assembly, what does he have to do with Albanians?

"Tell me, did you go into the house yourself and make that list with my companies, or did you have your ministry staff deal with my companies? How dare you threaten me, you scoundrel? But if you do this to me in the middle of the Parliament, what are you doing to ordinary citizens, you scoundrel?" - Shehaj burst out.

This response was enough for the Socialist Deputy Speaker of the Parliament to expel Shehaj from the Parliament.
