After more than five years, the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, stated today that he is no longer restricted from traveling to the United States of America.
He added that non grata has never existed, but did not answer whether the lifting of this sanction also included the family.
After receiving the news, Democratic MPs rushed to express their congratulations on the PD parliamentary group's WhatsApp.
However, MP Arjan Ndoji, while congratulating Berisha, did not forget to recall the positions of some MPs a few years ago who declared that the leader of the DP was using the party to protect himself.
"Congratulations Doctor. To all those within the force who said they protect themselves through the Party, we salute them and wish them not to rush into life. For all members of the DP, this is a victory and must be capitalized on in the daily work process," Ndoji writes.
After Berisha launched the Re-establishment Speech, more than half of the parliamentary group initially, led by Gazment Bardhi and Agron Gjekmarkaj, accused him of using the DP logo and acronym to protect himself from non grata.
The accusations ceased to exist only when Berisha legally took over the leadership of the party and the deputies who had once supported Basha merged with the group of the DP leader.
During the WhatsApp communications, Tritan Shehu also intervened, writing "the truth may be delayed, but it comes when it is fought for. It was fought and won."
