Prime Minister Rama said that justice institutions, upon gaining independence, must increase standards and professionalism. Rama said that there is still much work to be done in the areas of Public Procurement, financial control and food safety.
"This process consolidates the justice institutions, which have moved to another phase, as they have the independence they have never had. In the consolidation process, they must increase professionalism, impartiality and quality of services."
This process ensures the fight against corruption, not simply as a fight that takes place on the front between justice institutions, but also on the front of modernization, institutional transformation and the realization of a capacity of the entire state to prevent it from developing in gray areas or in the absence of secure institutional channels. Of course, the greatest burden in this process lies with the economy, but then the burden becomes clear in all its complexity when you see how it extends to infrastructure, energy, finance, agriculture and so on.
Two things stand out to me in the presentation that was made: the first is the necessity to move from limited progress in relation to EU standards to good progress in public procurement, where we have made great progress in relation to ourselves and the region, but we are not yet in the framework of good progress and the fulfillment of this aspect as part of the conditions.
Here I bring to your attention that it is very important that the work started to modernize public procurement with AI must continue intensively and be crowned to make us an exemplary country. The year 2017 should find us with this objective achieved. The next is financial control, where progress is also limited, while the reform for financial control is necessary and we have started in advance. Closing with the challenge of challenges, which is food safety and consumer protection", said Rama.
