Deputy Speaker of the Assembly Klodiana Spahiu, during her speech in the Assembly, said that teachers today have a higher salary, and that their treatment is much more dignified.

Spahiu also said that the Draft Law "On an Amendment to Law No. 69/2012, "On the Pre-University Education System in the Republic of Albania", as amended" provides support for children with disabilities as well as for young families.

Spahiu then focused on diaspora teachers and the role they have played over the years in teaching the Albanian language to the younger generation.

"The Albanian language should not simply survive, but develop, modernize and adapt to the times. Today we have about 400 Albanian language schools and classes in the world. Over 27,200 "Albanian Language and Albanian Culture" textbooks were distributed last year alone to students in the diaspora. There are over 700 teachers and about 25,000 students who attend classes in their native language. These are not just statistics, but roots that are strengthened, identity that is preserved, culture that continues from generation to generation ," said Spahiu.

The Deputy Speaker of the Parliament also emphasized that, "preserving the Albanian language in the diaspora is not only a matter of culture, it is a matter of national identity, it is an investment for the future."

"A child learning Albanian in Greece is a bridge between the two countries, an ambassador of our culture and a guarantee that our roots will never be uprooted. Therefore, let us support and further strengthen the implementation of the National Diaspora Strategy, guaranteeing continuity, resources and long-term vision. The work done by the Albanian Teachers' League in Greece and the National Diaspora Agency is a model of success that deserves not only appreciation, but also further institutional support ," concluded the Deputy Speaker of the Assembly, Klodiana Spahiu.
