Edi Rama: You must have a lot of courage and not be ashamed to ask me to resign

While massive protests continue in Tirana for his and the government's resignation, Prime Minister Edi Rama appeared in Fier alongside Belinda Balluku, where he also commented on the protesters' demands.

The Prime Minister stated again that he did not take the calls for resignation well at all, emphasizing that, according to him, the way of protest should focus on the issue of "flamingos and Zvërnec" and not on the removal of the government.

"If that protest is a concern for Sazan, Zvërnec, biodiversity, flamingos, the minimum is to bring out a group of people and say, sit down with these people, these are experts, tell them from A to Z what is happening and what the government intends to do."

"And listen. You can't come and do that 'no negotiations, leave' technique. If you're protesting to keep the flamingos from leaving, you can't demand the government leave ," he said.

According to him, "to brutally hold a governing majority accountable in that way is a great courage, the courage of one who has no shame."

"If you have no shame in front of the truth and manipulate others and go higher and higher, turning the country upside down is something you can do, but you should know that with Rama and the SP it doesn't work ," he said.
