During yesterday's informal meeting of a part of the deputies of the Democratic Party, Grida Duma has publicly asked Enkelejd Alibeaj to distance himself from the former chairman of the Democratic Party Lulzim Basha, as according to her, this will be harmful for Alibeaj himself.

Duma : Today I am telling you all, because I came to be open, what I told the group leader separately from the beginning; publicly distance yourself from the former president and declare that you are not under his influence, otherwise it will be harmful for you and for anyone else who holds this position. In addition, I have asked him to set up immediately, immediately, a representative group of the DP and to hold an open dialogue with the democrats everywhere in Albania.

However, Alibeaj was told that he cannot turn his back on Basha and according to him, the former chief democrat no longer has an impact on the group of DP deputies.

Alibeaj : I grew up persecuted and I know what it means to turn your back on another. I do not turn my back on Lulzim Basha. We have made opposition. Lulzim Basha has no effect and impact on our group. He has resigned.
