Democratic MP warns of Berisha's trip to the US: He will meet with American officials

Democratic Party MP, Ina Zhupa, stated that the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, is expected to travel very soon to the United States of America, where, according to her, he will also hold meetings with American officials.

Invited to A2 CNN, Zhupa described the development as important news not only for Berisha, but also for the Democratic Party and Albania.

"It is very important news not only for Mr. Berisha, for his battle, for the dignity and for the truth that he had the courage to defend even when many did not believe he would succeed," said Zhupa.

According to the Democratic MP, the removal of the status that prevented Berisha from traveling to the US constitutes a political and moral victory for him and his supporters.

"Today, with the removal of the non grata, it was a battle won by Mr. Berisha, the Democrats and the 500 thousand voters who supported the Democratic Party," she said.

Zhupa added that Berisha can now travel freely to the US and hold meetings with senior American officials.

"Sali Berisha crosses the ocean. Sali Berisha can meet with the highest American officials, as he will meet them. Very soon there will be meetings in the United States of America," she declared.

"The Albanian opposition is an opposition that stands on principles and has never been anti-American, nor contrary to America's interests," said Zhupa.
