The Anti-Corruption Spokesperson for the Democratic Party, Genta Vangjeli, has denounced a case of construction on Currilave beach, which according to her has almost entered the sea.

Drawing parallels with the action launched by the government in Theth where illegal constructions were demolished, Vangjeli brings up the case of the director of Services of the municipality of Durrës, whose family members built this hotel on Currile beach.

According to the DP, Ardian Iljazaj , currently director of Rehabilitation in the Municipality of Durrës, was arrested and dismissed live by the prime minister due to property abuse in Porto Romano, while he was 'promoted' again to public positions.

We recall that Ardian Iljazaj, former Director of the Local Real Estate Office in Durrës, after being dismissed by Edi Rama live and arrested by the police for property alienation in Cape Rodoni, was promoted to Director of Services in the municipality of Durrës.

Meanwhile, his family's business thrives in the middle of Durrës, without any concern from IKMT or the justice system, even though the construction has almost reached the sea.

This is the double standard of the Rama government: ordinary citizens, especially those not connected to power, are persecuted and punished: while the government's clientele is protected and rewarded.

The Democratic Party has continuously denounced constructions, especially recently permits in exchange for votes in areas such as Spitallë, Porto Romano, Kënetë, Shën Vlash and others in Durrës, but these cases are not the subject of investigation by SPAK, IKMT or any other institution ," emphasizes Genta Vangjeli.

The Democratic Party strongly condemns the government's arbitrary and unjust actions against the residents of Theth, who, encouraged by Prime Minister Edi Rama's public promises of legalization and support for mountain tourism, built with effort and sacrifice on their private properties.

The state response to this civic initiative was a violent act, the collapse of investments and the denial of the right to develop livelihoods and tourism in the mountainous areas of Albania.

But to better understand this act of pure hypocrisy, it is enough to move for a moment to Durrës, somewhere on Currilave beach.

Because Edi Rama appears to be the law itself, the IKMT, the police, the prosecution, SPAK, the justice system, the media, the executive branch.

He neither holds any regrets nor shows any interest in those citizens who have invested their lives in projects like those in Theth, which they have built with debt and dedication, believing in his empty promises.

In fact, no surprise for us... all of this has been warned for a long time by the leader of the opposition, Professor Doctor Sali Berisha. Rama's concept is not one that serves Albania and Albanians, but the opposite.

This is why IKMT does not go to Currilat e Durrës, where beaches are occupied without fear.
