Fire in Delvina, Minister Vengu: The coming hours are expected to be difficult

Four helicopters have been engaged in non-stop flights to the three villages of Delvina, to limit the perimeter of the flames, while over 120 forces are operating in the field to orient and support the residents of the villages of Vergo, Palavli and Kopaçëz.

Defense Minister Pirro Vengu informs that "we must make sure that the evening passes as safely as possible for them, while we remain on full alert, as the coming hours are expected to be difficult due to high temperatures".

"The Chief of the Delvina Police Station intervened to help the residents in very difficult conditions, committing a real heroic act. He was injured during the operation and is receiving health assistance in the hospital.

We wish him a speedy recovery and are grateful for the courage shown to each officer. Special thanks to the fire brigade, the State Police and our partners who are helping us in this difficult situation", writes Vengu.
