The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, during this Wednesday's conference revealed some of the projects of the created coalition "Greater Albania".

He expressed his skepticism, recalling Albania in 2005-2008, which according to him was "the Albania of the largest energy projects in Europe."

Berisha: Great Albania may not be the Albania of big projects. I know that there are skeptics about this promise too. But I remind the skeptics that the Albania of 2005-2008 became the Albania of the biggest projects in the field of energy in Europe. Wasn't TAP the most important and strategic project for energy in Europe? Wasn't the Devoll Cascade the largest hydropower project being built at the time? Were there not 434 contracts signed for hydropower plants? Wasn't there so much grandeur in this project that I invite the media to dig into their archives and find out how the opposition of that time and others mocked us when we declared Albania a regional energy superpower.

Where are we today? Those projects, that motto made it possible for those hydroelectric power plants built and signed during that period to constitute the basis for increasing energy production by 70 percent.

Great Albania therefore implies major projects such as transforming the country into an epicenter of the highest, most advanced technologies. Data centers, Internet 3, blockchain, bitcoin, cryptocurrencies, artificial intelligence.

Again, I ask the media to delve into the recent past of this political force that promises these things. In 2005, internet penetration in Albania was 4.8 percent. At the end of 2005, I declared that we would bring Albania into the digital age.

The reaction was ridicule and mockery, not only from opponents, but also from the media.

The truth is that in 2013, Albania reached an internet penetration of 63 percent. Albania became one of the countries with the easiest access to the internet in the world. 1250 centers were opened throughout the country where citizens could use the internet for free.

So, I didn't dwell on anything else in this past, to show that the Albania of the coming years will be many times more magnificent than the one I cited.

That Albania and Albanians are capable of realizing the most magnificent projects and they have proven this.

Who would have thought that the most isolated and insecure country on the planet would become a member of NATO? It became a reality.

Wasn't the Albanians' transition from the group of low-income countries to the group of upper-middle-income countries a great thing, called a quantum leap?

So, these are all the pillars of the program, with which we will present ourselves every day, every hour to the citizens.
