The head of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has given signals that he will not recognize the local elections that are expected to be held on May 14. 

During an online conversation with his followers, Berisha declared that the massive manipulation of the elections has begun and that Prime Minister Edi Rama has turned his "narco-state" into a giant electoral machine, which uses tons of narco-euros, uses the state machinery, uses everything to violate the vote of the Albanians

He declared that the democrats will never tolerate, will never recognize an election process based on a stolen vote.

"Election manipulation has started massively and we are following it with intensity. But we stand by our decision. It will be absolutely responsible and the Democrats will never tolerate, will never recognize an election process based on stolen votes. Albanians they must know that Edi Rama did not run away with the vote. That today, at this moment we are talking, he has turned his narco-state into a gigantic electoral machine, that uses tons of narco-euros, uses the state machinery, uses everything to violate the vote of Albanians.
