Adriatik Lapaj has reacted to the accusations of MP Agron Shehaj, who said that he had received 45 million lek from a company seized by SPAK and that it was used to launder money for the "Çopja" criminal group.

Lapaj does not completely deny it, but says that as a lawyer he was employed by the company in question, representing it in court proceedings, but not by its administrator.

Lapaj also says that the company in question has not been seized by SPAK and that it is “under investigation.” He says that he has not yet received the money for his legal services, while accusing Shehaj of being a “liar” and warning him that they will face each other in court.

Lapaj's full reaction:

Agron said today that I took money from crime for politics.

He also released a document claiming that I received money from crime for politics.

So, Agron, with his voice and image, is telling Albanians about politics that I have received 4.5 million lek from crime.
Let's take it in turn:

1. First, the document in question is the public balance sheet according to the law of a private company that shows that it owes the natural person Adriatik Lapaj 4.5 million lekë. In fact, I am owed money by many companies and people that I have represented as a lawyer!

2. Second, I didn't receive 4.5 million, the company you mentioned owes me for my work as a lawyer. It's been almost 2 years since they paid me. Their own problems. They haven't been able to figure it out! Your first lie!

3. Mr. Shehaj, you claim that I was paid 4.5 million by this company for politics. In fact, this is your second fraud committed publicly. As a lawyer, I have this profession! In the case in question, I provided civil services and specifically, I was the lawyer who represented 35 families who owned a piece of land that the company in question purchased. As a lawyer, I drafted the contracts and followed the legal process.

4. Mr. Shehaj, you say that the company in question was seized by Spak, aiming to damage my image among voters. So, you want to create the perception that Adriatiku collaborates with crime. In fact, the company in question is not seized by Spak. Your third lie! Its administrator is under investigation. What a mess! My service as a lawyer is for the company about 2 years before its administrator was taken under investigation. The contract is with the company and not for the Administrator's affairs. Your fourth lie! This is to be fair, because even today I can represent that company or its administrator without any problem even in Spak because this is my job. Legal representative! Lawyer!

5. Mr. Shehaj, if it were money that crime gave me, they would have given it to me, and I wouldn't have been in debt for 2 years. They would even give it to me without a bank account!

6. They haven't paid me for my work as a lawyer and I'll have to go to court to get it. Maybe I won't get it and the work will be wasted! But this is a problem for me!

7. Whether they are criminals or not, it doesn't matter to me because my profession is not to be a cleric, but a lawyer. A lawyer also represents those who break the law. Even mainly those who break the law. It's like telling a doctor why you removed a trafficker's molar.

8. As a lawyer, Agron, I represent anyone and I have an obligation to declare them to the state. The fact that they have been declared shows that I work with contracts and invoices, not in the black. Maybe you are used to the black!

9. Agron, you have no limits in politics, but you have a man of the law in front of you! Now, either I will be punished by the court for collaborating with organized crime or you will be punished for defamation!

10. Unintentionally, you Agron did me a favor! From the theory that Soros gives you money, you went to the theory that he works as a lawyer! In short, Soros was not rich enough to let me need money from crime.

There are no middle schools!
