Shocking video/ The moment a man is swallowed by a whale: I thought I died

Adrián Simancas was lucky enough to escape alive from a sudden whale attack.

The 24-year-old was sailing in a kayak (a watercraft similar to a canoe) off the coast of Chile, accompanied by his father, when a whale surfaced and swallowed him along with the kayak.

A few seconds later, the whale released the boy, who fortunately escaped unharmed.

The terrifying moment was filmed by the 24-year-old's father, who was filming by chance.

He said that even after the whale spat him out, he was still worried that he might die in the icy waters.

"When I started swimming, I was scared that something might happen to my father, that we wouldn't reach shore in time," Simankas said.

Father and son managed to make it to shore safely after the incident.
