After the 'bombshell' testimony of his ex-wife, Chiara Ferragni, about betrayal, Fedez has reacted for the first time.
On social media, he has taken to several points to clarify his thoughts on the scandal that he considered leaving Chiara shortly before going down the aisle. He calls it a ridiculous idea and says that she will always be important to him.
Fedez says that he met Angelica Montini a few months before the wedding, but each went their separate ways.
The reunion with her occurred when his marriage had suffered deep, indelible crises.
"The idea that I thought of leaving my wife during the wedding to run away to the other side of Italy is simply ridiculous. I chose Chiara with conviction, I loved her, I married her without hesitation and we built a family together. Despite the conflicts, she will always remain important to me because she is the mother of my children. I met Angelica a few months before the wedding, we moved away from each other to focus on our lives. I got back together with her in a moment of personal difficulty, without having any preconceived plan, but when the marriage was already facing deep crises, which we were unable to solve even after trying."
Fedez does not make it clear when this relationship began or when it ended exactly, but it was Angelica who ended it. He considers the confession he made to Fabrizio Corona a mistake.
"When Angelica decided to end our relationship, among the many mistakes I made, I shared my thoughts with Fabrizio and a mutual friend of both. A stupidity in a moment of weakness and fragility, for which I pay the consequences, but I reject any conspiracy theory or manipulation. I have tried to avoid this news in any form, as I can easily prove. News that also harms me, I would emphasize."
Along these lines, Fedez adds that their private lives should not be used for attention.
"I've never been a saint, but our private lives cannot be used as a pretext to build narratives or divert attention from something else. All this is not doing anyone any good, not Chiara, not me, not the other people involved."
The singer concludes by listing a few points. He says he has learned from this story and paid for it. Now his main focus is on himself and his children and he has left the spectacle to others.
"Today I will make a few points. I made a mistake, I paid, I will continue to pay, I may have even learned a little. I am leaving behind a way of presenting myself that no longer belongs to me and perhaps never belonged to me. I know how this game works: for years I have been part of it, now I think about myself and my children. I leave the rest to those who need this kind of spectacle. As much as possible, I want to choose reality."
