First floating city to be built in South Korea

At UN central offices, the project of the first floating city was discovered, which will suit rising sea levels.

OCEANIX Busan, the project to be implemented in South Korea, is a pilot project that aims to use and develop technology to build other successive cities in the following decades, to respond to housing needs and preserve land.

The city will be built on three platforms connected to each other, in a space of 6.3 hectares to house a community of 12,000 people.

It is one of many solutions proposed as a way out of rising sea levels, where global warming has an important role in this part.
