Popstar Taylor Swift's team burst into tears when it was revealed that the singer had given them $197 million as a bonus for their work during the Eras Tour.

The superstar, 36, made history after grossing $2 billion in ticket sales for her 21-month tour, which included 149 concerts in 21 countries.

As a reward for her team, Taylor distributed over $197 million in bonuses to everyone who worked during the tour. The list of beneficiaries includes truck drivers, catering staff, instrument technicians, merchandising team, lighting, audio, production, assistants, carpenters, dancers, band, security, choreographers, pyrotechnics technicians, hair stylists, make-up artists, costume department, physiotherapists and video staff.

A staff member read aloud a personal letter from Taylor showing the amount of his bonus, which is censored with a "beep".

"You all have the same message on your vehicles, so I was hoping you could open it together. Before you open the envelope, I just want to tell you that this part of the tour has been the most difficult of anything I've done live, and you've tackled it with a lot of enthusiasm, curiosity and incredible resilience. The tour went very well thanks to everyone's hard work. So, if you can, read the message," Taylor said, reports La Stampa.

A staff member named Cam read the letter aloud. "Dear Cam, we traveled the world as we had planned. We charmed the public, but we missed our families. My gratitude doesn't just come from the bank, but here's a large amount of dollars, just to say thank you. Love, Taylor."

According to The Sun, one dancer reportedly nearly fainted when he opened his letter. Based on calculations by some American media outlets, each staff member may have received around $50,000.

The move comes two years after it was revealed that Taylor had previously distributed $100,000 in bonuses to truck drivers responsible for transporting equipment during the US leg of the tour.
