Princess Sofia of Sweden has been named in the Epstein files, according to emails recently published by Swedish media. The documents suggest she was invited to Jeffrey Epstein's private island and met him several times.

Princess Sofia, now 41, was a former model and reality show contestant before marrying Prince Carl Philip in 2015. According to the newspaper Dagens Nyheter, she met Epstein in 2005 through Swedish entrepreneur Barbro Ehnbom.

In one email, Ehnbom introduces Sofia as an aspiring actress who had just arrived in New York. In another message, Epstein says he is in the Caribbean and offers her a ticket to visit him. The Swedish royal family has said the princess declined the invitation to the island of Little Saint James.

However, the Royal Palace has confirmed that Sofia met Epstein on several occasions around 2005. According to the official statement, she has had no contact with him over the past 20 years.

Another email mentions an offer from Epstein to help Sofia with her acting career. The Palace has also denied this claim, calling it false information.

Royal authorities have not provided details on the location or reason for the meetings with the financier convicted of sexual crimes against minors.
