Violence against his wife, the confession of Klodian Duro: Here is my truth...

Former football player Klodian Duro denies the news that he was convicted of violence against his ex-wife.

In an interview for the morning show "Wake Up", Duro told his version, stressing that he never used violence against the girl's mother.

"For the part of my divorce, I have not served a single day in prison, I have not been convicted. But normally when a divorce happens, an order to keep this violence against women, normally any woman can get a protection order. But, I also had a business, I had to go and see the steps of the business, we were in pandemic times when you were not allowed to leave the house. There were some violations of the regulations of the time, which were easily proven that I did not serve a single day in jail. I had never spoken and I did not respond to them".

The former footballer addressed Roza Lati and all the people who, according to him, "speak without knowing the truth".

"With my exit, I had no chance to speak inside. We are a country that walks with words, with rumours, but without knowing the truth. If she (Roza Lati) knows that I beat my wife, where has she been and with what eyes did she see it? But this is easily proven. The ex-wife is there, together with the daughter, and she can prove that throughout our lives, we have had no signs of violence".

He wants to convey the message against violence to the public.

"I wish that this would be the case in the entire Albanian society, because for me, women are one of the strongest beings on the planet. That was the whole truth. Meriton intervened because he knew everything. They knew who the resident is who spoke against Claude. I ignored him every day."
