Britney Spears headed for bankruptcy? Psychiatrist: She needs urgent treatment,

It's been two and a half years since Britney Spears' father lost custody of the singer. Of course for all those who celebrated this court decision, this was the best thing possible for the former pop star.

However, many photos and videos that Spears has shared on social networks have created confusion among fans. Many interpreted it as a way to seek attention, and others questioned the stability of her mental state.

We recall that Spears was placed under the guardianship of her father in February 2008, when she refused to give custody of her sons to her ex-partner, Kevin Federline, and was sent for treatment to a psychiatric clinic. During this difficult period, she again produced music. But in 2019, rumors surfaced that she was being abused and that custody was continuing against her will. Thus began a new #FreeBritney protest movement, whose request was met with a new court order in November 2021.

In an interview with TMZ Live, American psychiatrist Dr. Charles Sophy warned that Britney needs ongoing medication and new guardianship.

"The guardianship was put in place for a reason and it should be returned. With such a serious mental illness, she needs supervision and, above all, medication," he said. However, what particularly worries the psychiatrist is "her erratic behavior, her spending of money, her recklessness, the fact that according to him no one feels safe around her, that no one can control her."

She is even rumored to have spent over $1 million on each of her luxury trips and is now on the verge of bankruptcy. But how will things go if she doesn't get the help she needs? The psychiatrist answers: "these situations lead to a dead end."

"She's either going to hurt herself or someone else, She's not able to take care of herself, she has to be medicated against her will," Sophy concluded.
