Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russia has proposed a bilateral meeting with Ukraine, followed by a trilateral meeting.
At a press conference after his meetings with US President Donald Trump at the White House, Zelensky said he was ready for "any format" of meeting with Putin. He added that he would attend the trilateral meeting, depending on how the first meeting goes.
Zelensky said he does not know the details of the proposed bilateral meeting.
He stressed that he does not want to set conditions for the meeting, because then Putin would also present his own conditions.
"I believe that we should meet without conditions and think about the further development of this journey towards ending the war," he said.
