US President Donald Trump was asked in the Oval Office by journalists if his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, has a strong weapon for Friday's meeting in Alaska.
"Well, he came to our country," Trump replied, writes Sky News.
He told reporters that he thinks Putin "would like to see a deal".
"I think if I wasn't president, he would take control of all of Ukraine, it's a war that should never have happened. If I were not president, in my opinion, he would much rather take control of the whole of Ukraine, but I am president and he will not play with me," he added.
Trump also proposed Alaska as the host for the second meeting, which he says he would like to happen "very soon".
