Hugs and handshakes, Starmer welcomes Zelenskyy

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has arrived at Downing Street in London for a meeting with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

As foreign media reports, the pair hugged and shook hands, ignoring journalists' questions, before going inside.

Downing Street has given few details about what the pair will discuss in their talks, but the meeting comes just a day before Donald Trump meets Vladimir Putin in Alaska to discuss a ceasefire in Ukraine.

It is also reported that Trump is preparing to offer Vladimir Putin access to rare earth minerals to encourage him to end the war in Ukraine.
