The Kosovo government announced, but did not clarify, for which case the Kosovo Special Prosecution Office invited Prime Minister Albin Kurti to testify on December 16.

Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty sources in the prosecutor's office confirm that the invitation is related to the state reserves case, in which Kurti's minister, Rozeta Hajdari, is also implicated.

In this case, Kurti's friend, businessman Ridvan Muharremi, was also arrested as a suspect, but was later released. He was interviewed by the Special Prosecution Office as a suspect in October of this year.

Last night, the Prosecution sent a summons to Kurti to appear for testimony on December 16. He will testify as a witness.

He was asked by journalists throughout the day about the Prosecution's invitation, but he refused to answer, saying he was "in a hurry."
