Two days after being declared persona non grata by the US State Department, Artan Grubi , former Deputy Prime Minister of North Macedonia from the DUI ranks, has decided to withdraw from politics and public life.
Through a reaction on social media, Grubi announced that he will withdraw from politics until the truth is revealed.
"Although the decision states that this is not to punish, but to encourage improved behavior, I, before God, family and friends, am as pure as a tear, but with the aim of shedding light on the truth, which I see many of you already know, and in order not to be a political burden, I have decided to withdraw from public life and I have notified Mayor Ahmeti of this from day one," he writes, among other things.
We recall that two days ago, the State Department declared Artan Grubi and the judge of the Court of Appeals, Enver Bexheti, non grata, after accusing them of being "involved in high-level corruption and accepting bribes to obstruct" the judicial processes related to the conviction of Sasho Mijalkov, former director of the Directorate for Security and Counterintelligence (DSK).

Personal decision in the service of the common good!
Dear citizens,
Throughout my public activity, I have been uncompromisingly committed to the equality of Albanians in North Macedonia, to a peaceful and reconciled region, to full integration into NATO, to a strategic partnership with the United States of America, and to membership in the European Union.
These are values ??that are not only my guide, but also the obligation I have always felt towards my country and nation.
Our achievements, which we are all witnesses to, are not only the merit of my dedication and that of my friends, but also of the sincere and continuous support from our friends in the United States of America and the European Union.
The fact that today North Macedonia is a member of NATO and has begun negotiations for membership in the European Union is clear evidence of this cooperation and shared commitment.
But the price of this commitment, a price that has always been in the service of values ??and justice, has been heavy for me and my family.
The major attacks over the years, the misinterpretations and unfair blows, have made me reflect on my role at this important moment for the country and its future.
Although the decision states that this is not to punish, but to encourage improved behavior, I, before God, family, and friends, am as pure as a tear, but with the aim of shedding light on the truth, which I see many of you already know, and in order not to be a political burden, I have decided to withdraw from public life and I have informed Mayor Ahmeti of this from day one.
This is a difficult decision, but necessary to save my family and preserve my personal and political integrity, as well as to support the continuity of the work and dedication of our leader, Ali Ahmeti.
Believe in his right path, a path that has been and remains the greatest hope for Albanians and all citizens of North Macedonia.
I always remain committed to these values ??and will stand by them, as a citizen and as a supporter of the common good.
With respect and gratitude from the bottom of my heart for your support over the years.
