Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law that provides for the possibility of confiscating the assets and property of critics of the war.

According to him, this affects people convicted under the law that prohibits "dissemination of information about the armed forces" that should be considered "false" by the Russian authorities, and which in fact affects those who condemn the invasion of Ukraine, according to the Interfax agency.

In Russia there is a law that provides up to 15 years in prison for spreading information about the army that is considered "false" by the authorities and up to 7 years for those accused of "discrediting" the army.
