Putin concludes phone call with Trump: Ceasefire only after some agreements are reached

The telephone conversation between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, which the Russian president called "meaningful, sincere and very useful," has ended after about two hours.

According to the Russian news agency, Ria Novosti, Putin told Trump that "a ceasefire can only be achieved after certain agreements are reached."

"Putin said that during the phone conversation with Donald Trump, the US president expressed Washington's position on a ceasefire. Putin also thanked the head of the White House for the resumption of direct negotiations between Russia and Ukraine," according to reports from Russian news agencies.
