A video that is making the rounds on the Internet shows the moment when a newborn baby is pulled alive from the rubble after the earthquake in Morocco.

The gruesome footage was published on the social network X (Formerly Twitter) but has not been independently verified, while no information is given on which area the episode was recorded.

The baby was covered in dirt when she was rescued by a nearby man. She was reportedly taken to hospital after being pulled out alive.

On the Internet, there have been many disturbing images of the aftermath of this earthquake that happened on Friday night. The earthquake had a magnitude of 6.8 but was followed by an aftershock of 4.9 about 19 minutes later.

The epicenter was in a sparsely populated area of ​​the High Atlas Mountains, 71 kilometers south-west of Marrakesh, a major tourist destination.
