Thousands of people have been displaced into Gaza as the Israel Defense Forces continue to target Hamas positions.
This is what the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) declared.
"The number of people forced to flee their homes in search of safety has increased significantly overnight.
"Nearly 74,000 displaced people are now in UNRA's 64 shelters, and the number is likely to rise as fierce fighting continues with bombing and airstrikes targeting civilian areas," the agency said in a statement.
The statement also notes that a UNRWA school that housed displaced families in the Gaza Strip was hit today.
The school, which housed more than 225 people, was badly damaged. There are no reports of casualties among the displaced.
