The Serbian minister who made scandalous statements against Albanians grew up in Peja

The EU condemned the statement of Serbian Minister Snezana Paunovic, who said that, if she had been in Slobodan Milosevic's place in 1998, she would have "ethnically cleansed Kosovo".

Journalist Enver Robelli, speaking about this issue on the show "Off the Record" on A2, emphasized that Albania must react in such cases. He noted that Tirana's silence is problematic and does not bode well for the country's state dignity.

" I think that Albania should react in such cases, and ultimately it would not take a spectacular action, it would do what the EU is doing. Many European officials have strongly condemned the Serbian minister's statement and it would be logical for Albania to do the same. Therefore, I think that silence is not a good sign for Albania's state dignity, because when other countries react and Albania remains silent, I see it as quite problematic. I see it as problematic when the Albanian Prime Minister never speaks out on the genocides of the anniversaries in Srebrenica ," said Robelli.  

Robelli revealed, among other things, that Minister Paunovic grew up in Peja, while he considers her statements to be a dangerous mental deformation.

" This Mrs. Paunovic is originally from Peja, grew up in Kosovo, experienced the 90s and witnessed the repression of the Serbian regime against Albanians, and to dream of the expulsion of almost 2 million Albanians a quarter of a century after the end of the war, I do not only call it a distortion of discourse, but I also call it a dangerous mental distortion, which perhaps deserves not only political but also medical attention ."
