Two Katyusha rockets were fired at Iraq's Ain al-Asad Air Base late Monday, where US forces and other international troops are stationed in western Iraq, security sources told Israeli media.
It is not clear beforehand whether the attack caused casualties or damage inside the base.
A security source told the "Jerusalem Post" that the rockets landed inside the base.
We remind you that tensions in the Middle East have significantly increased after the assassination of the political leader of Hamas in Iran.
Just a few moments ago, Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz said that he had been informed by the Iranian authorities that they had decided to attack Israel.
This attack, according to Israeli media citing US sources, is expected to happen within the next 48 hours.
