A tragic event has shocked Italy, where an 18-year-old woman was found dead in the early hours of the morning, while her friend was in critical condition next to her.

The girls were found on "Ottavio Bonomi" street in the city of Pavia, while there was also a motor scooter near them. What has made the event more mysterious is that from the inspection of the place, there were no signs of an accident.

According to the Italian investigators who have reconstructed the scene of the event, it is suspected that the girls were riding a motorcycle when they both felt bad at the same time and fell.

In the morning they were found lying on the asphalt, and although they were immediately sent to the emergency room, the 18-year-old did not survive. While her friend suffered a cardiac arrest and is in intensive care, although her condition is improving.

The suspicions are that the girls may have consumed some kind of substance, which has worsened their health. For this, toxicology tests have been ordered.
