A video published by the Daily Mail shows the moment British police arrest the suspect in the stabbing attack on the train traveling from Doncaster, in northern England, to London.
The footage, filmed on a phone by an eyewitness near the entrance to Huntington Station, shows five police officers wrestling a man to the ground, who can be heard screaming " Kill me, kill me."
The police are seen using a taser to subdue him and yelling "give us your hands" as they try to handcuff him.
Ten people were stabbed on Saturday (November 1) on a train that stopped at Huntington station, about 120 kilometers north of London. Two of them are in a critical condition in hospital.
British police arrested two men, a 32-year-old black British citizen, and a 35-year-old British man of Caribbean origin, but only one of them is currently considered the main suspect.
Eyewitnesses told The Times newspaper they saw a man armed with a large knife as passengers took refuge in the train's toilets. Another witness said he saw a man covered in blood running through the carriage shouting "they have a knife".
In videos shared on social media, armed police are seen entering the train. A witness told Sky News that a man carrying a knife was neutralized by a police officer with a Taser.
British police announced today that the knife attack on the train traveling from Doncaster to London is not being treated as an act of terrorism, while two Britons have been arrested on charges of attempted murder.
The incident was described as “extremely worrying” by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. “ My thoughts are with those affected and I thank the emergency services for their swift response ,” he wrote in a message on the X platform.
