Cekki Hoti, the Albanian from Kosovo who set off on a bicycle to propose to the girl of his dreams in Indonesia, has made a surprising confession.

In a recent TikTok video, he revealed that the story that began with hope ended with "no."

 "After many days of conversations with her family, we could not agree on terms. They did not accept mine, I did not accept theirs, so each went on with his own life. I am happy that it happened the way it did," he wrote, closing with the sentence: "This is life."

Just a few days ago, Cekki had spoken about Prive, revealing plans to build a life with the girl he had met online and for whom he had traveled thousands of kilometers by bicycle, from Kosovo to the city of Bau Bau, Indonesia.
