War on all fronts: Iran threatens Ukraine for supporting Israel with drones

An Iranian lawmaker has stated that Ukraine's drone support for Israel makes the country a legitimate target for Iran, increasing tensions between Tehran and Kiev.

The head of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee in the Iranian parliament, Ebrahim Azizi, wrote on the social network X that, by providing drone assistance to Israel, Ukraine has effectively entered the war, adding that the entire Ukrainian territory can now be considered a target for Iran.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated last week that 11 countries have requested Kiev's help to protect themselves from Shahed-type drones, amid the conflict with Iran and Tehran's continued attacks on Gulf states.

Zelenskyy stressed that Ukraine is ready to help partner countries to deal with these air threats, but only those that also help Ukraine in protecting the lives of its citizens and its independence.

He announced that some requests have already been met with concrete decisions and specific support. According to him, Ukraine has sent interceptor drones and specialists to help protect US military bases in Jordan.

Since the beginning of the Russian invasion in 2022, Ukraine has built an advanced, multi-layered anti-drone air defense system, which includes mobile fire groups, electronic warfare equipment, and domestically developed interceptor drones.
