US President Donald Trump aims to take full control of the Strait of Hormuz to favor the US and Israel's position in the conflict with Iran.

In a recent message, Trump called on countries in the region to take their own measures, guaranteeing that the US will stand by them:

"The United States has hit and severely damaged Iran, militarily and economically, but the countries that receive oil through Hormuz must take care of this passage, and we will help a lot."

5,000 US Marines and the plan for a "mini invasion"

According to published information, this control foresees the commitment of 5,000 US Marines who are being sent by the US to the region. Trump and his staff have planned a "mini-invasion" - a limited ground operation - to take control of Hormuz.

In addition to strengthening the US fleet, the president has sought the support of allied countries with interests in the region, in order to ensure complete control of the safe passage of ships and reduce the effects of war, depriving Iran of one of its key "weapons".

Trump has warned of harsh attacks on Iran and said more strikes are expected in the coming days. He has also rejected any talks with Tehran for a diplomatic solution to the conflict, while Iranian authorities have made it clear that they will not accept negotiations until the US and Israel stop airstrikes.

US forces have ordered the USS Tripoli, the Navy unit based in Japan, to be immediately sent to the Persian Gulf for guidance on the upcoming operation.

According to BBC reports, US anti-missile systems have been transferred from South Korea to the region to strengthen front lines, reflecting rising tensions and uncertainty over developments on the ground.

Experts predict that the crisis in the Middle East and the war with Iran are approaching a major escalation, as Trump tries to find a solution to a situation that he seems not to have fully appreciated before.
