Kosovo with a new government: Albin Kurti as prime minister

The Kosovo Assembly has voted to form the Kurti 3 government, with 66 votes in favor, 49 against and no abstentions.

Earlier, Albin Kurti presented the names of the new cabinet, which will include a total of 19 ministers, 4 more than in the previous mandate.

After approval with 66 votes in favor, the new ministers of the Kosovo government have taken the oath before the Assembly.

After this, the Speaker of Parliament appointed today, Albulena Haxhiu, considered the extraordinary session closed. 

Former Speaker of the Parliament Glauk Konjufca will be First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora.

Kurti has promised that in the next four years of his government, they will invest 1 billion euros in defense.

"In the next four years, we will strengthen alliances, invest 1 billion euros in defense, recruit new soldiers, multiply the number of officers, operationalize the ammunition factory, develop Kosovo's military industry, and produce Made in Kosovo combat drones," Kurti promised.
