FBI in search of the "queen of cryptos": the freezing of financial assets is ordered! (the $4.5 billion scam)

Ruja Ignatova , the only woman on the FBI's most wanted list for the $4.5 billion OneCoin cryptocurrency scam, has faced a global asset freeze.

This measure was taken thanks to investors seeking compensation.

The " Queen of Cryptocurrencies " cannot sell or transfer its financial assets.

Ignatova has not been seen since a flight to Athens more than 6 years ago.

In June, the BBC revealed her links to the Bulgarian "underworld" and a man suspected of being an organized crime boss involved in her disappearance.

So far, efforts by OneCoin investors to be properly compensated have failed. US authorities are offering a $5 million reward for information leading to her arrest.

The asset freeze order was made public on Wednesday by London's High Court and was sought by 400 OneCoin investors.

In the United Kingdom alone, "BBC" writes that investors have lost more than 100 million pounds.

The case is left open in case there will be other claimants.

The order not only targets Ignatova, but also 7 other people and 4 companies, all connected to OneCoin. They include the co-founder of OneCoin, Sebastian Greenwood, who is imprisoned in the US and sentenced to 20 years in prison.

Two businessmen Christopher Hamilton and Robert MacDonald are accused of laundering OneCoin money. They appeared in a London court, while efforts to extradite them to the US have failed.

Two Guernsey companies are also affected. In 2021 they were used by Ignatova to buy a £13.5m house in Kensington and a £1.9m flat where her bodyguards would live.

The asset freeze orders have not escaped OneCoin's advertiser either. although, like the investors, they may have been affected by the OneCoin shutdown and the escape of the "queen", it is assumed that they have profited significantly by recruiting investors.

The search for Ruja Ignatova took an unexpected turn when it was claimed that she has been murdered. But with her occasional appearance, could it be true?
