Fighting in Kursk

A Ukrainian army regiment, composed mainly of Russian nationals, has launched a surprise attack on the Kursk region inside Russian territory.

The attack has been underway since Yesterday and is still ongoing, with reports that numerous Russian soldiers who have been caught by surprise have suffered significant damage.

The attack was carried out on several vectors in north-eastern Ukraine, penetrating in some cases over 12 kilometers into the interior of Russian territory.

At least one Russian KA-52 fighter helicopter has been hit and shot down by an FPV drone for the first time, while several missiles have fired at a Russian air base, destroying at least one Su-34 aircraft.

More than 40 Russian soldiers have reportedly been captured as prisoners of war, with reports that the Akhmat battalion of Chechen forces has withdrawn from the area.

Unconfirmed reports also say the F-16s were involved in the attack, which Ukraine received just days ago from the West.

Currently, several villages are under the control of Ukrainian forces of the Freedom of Russia Legion regiment, including the Suja gas station that supplies most of Europe with gas.
