Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis accused Russia of using natural gas to attack Europe.  

The energy crisis, Mitsotakis added during a meeting with government cabinet ministers, is a concerted attack against the West by Russia, which "is seeking to create social unrest and political instability within countries that oppose its plans by exerting economic pressure."

He added that Greece is among the countries that are targeted by Moscow, not sparing even the Turkish president in his comments.

"Mr. Putin is doing nothing to hide it, and neither is Mr. Erdogan, who has publicly stated that he would like another government in Athens," added Mitsotakis, referring to the Russian and Turkish presidents respectively.

During the meeting, the Greek Prime Minister emphasized that the Greek economy does not have "infinite" resources to continue to offset the impact of rising energy prices, warning of a "difficult" winter.
