A policeman was killed and another was injured in the village of Banjskë in the north of Kosovo.

Klan Kosova writes that the killed policeman is Afrim Bunjaku , from the village of Samadrexhe in Vushtrri.

Police sergeant Afrim Bunjaku becomes the second policeman of the Republic of Kosovo to be killed in the north of the country, while on duty.

The law enforcement officer from Samadrexha and Vushtrri was shot dead today at around 3 am, in an ambush by masked persons in Banjska i Zveçani.

They blocked the way of the police car in Mitrovica-Leposavic with two trucks and then fired at them. As a result, another person was also injured.

Bunjaku is the second policeman to be killed in the north of Kosovo, while in 2011 Enver Zymberi, from Dubovci i Vushtrri, was on duty.

He was killed on July 26, 2011, during the action of the forces of the Republic of Kosovo to extend control to the north of the country.
